Netanyahu Visits Washington to Influence U.S. Stance on Iran Nuclear Talks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is traveling to Washington today, Tuesday, in what observers describe as an effort to seize what may be his "last chance" to influence President Donald Trump before any potential agreement with Iran.
Netanyahu's visit aims to encourage Trump to broaden the scope of high-stakes nuclear negotiations with Tehran, as both sides prepare to resume talks following an escalation of U.S. military movements in the region.
Israel has consistently called for an end to all uranium enrichment activities in Iran, restrictions on its ballistic missile program, and a severing of ties with armed groups in the region.
However, Tehran has repeatedly dismissed these demands, stating it will only accept certain limitations on its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
Israeli political and security assessments, reported by "Channel 13" in Israel, suggest that Netanyahu is looking to capitalize on the current moment before any potential resolution, following recent mass protests in Iran and significant U.S. military maneuvers that could sway Iranian leaders' positions in negotiations.
Netanyahu will remain in Washington until tomorrow, Wednesday, reaffirming his commitment to urging the United States to adopt stricter measures against Iran, similar to last year's 12-day military strikes against Iranian military and nuclear sites.
The discussions are expected to include the possibility of additional military actions against Iran in the coming days.
Negotiations between Iran and the United States resumed last week amid rising military tensions in the region, with uncertainty surrounding Trump's willingness to expand the already challenging negotiation framework with Tehran.
