King Mohammed VI of Morocco Takes Rest Period Due to Health Issues

The Maghreb Arab Press reported that King Mohammed VI of Morocco is experiencing lower back pain accompanied by muscle spasms. According to a statement from his personal physician on Saturday, there are no signs of serious concern regarding his health.
The agency further noted that this condition necessitates appropriate medical treatment and a functional rest period, as prescribed by His Majesty's personal doctor, to facilitate a return to normal activity.
It is important to mention that King Mohammed VI has undergone several successful surgeries in recent years, including heart surgery in 2020 following a similar procedure in Paris in 2018, as well as a successful operation in late 2024 after suffering a humeral fracture due to a fall while engaging in sports.
King Mohammed VI has reigned over Morocco since July 1999, following the death of his father, the late King Hassan II. He continues to govern the country while managing his health and overseeing the kingdom's affairs, despite facing emerging health challenges.
