Israeli Defense Minister Affirms Control Over Mount Hermon and Security in Golan Heights

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Friday that Israeli forces have established control over Mount Hermon and what he referred to as a "secure zone" within southern Syria. He emphasized that Israel is committed to defending the Golan Heights and Galilee in response to increasing security threats in the region.

Katz also highlighted Israel's responsibility for the safety of the Druze community in Syria, asserting that the country will not allow them to be harmed amid recent developments on the ground.
