Israel Resumes Natural Gas Supply to Egypt Following Maintenance

Israeli officials announced on Saturday that the country has resumed natural gas deliveries to Egypt, with volumes reaching 1.1 billion cubic feet per day, following a maintenance period lasting approximately two weeks.

The official specified that the supply has returned to full capacity from the Tamar and Leviathan fields, which are among Israel's major natural gas producers in the Eastern Mediterranean.

This resumption is expected to enhance Egypt's energy supplies, particularly in light of the growing demand for gas to meet local market needs and support liquefied natural gas exports.

This development is part of the ongoing energy cooperation between Cairo and Tel Aviv, which is integrated into a broader network connecting Eastern Mediterranean countries to European markets, thus strengthening the region's position as a significant hub for gas production and export.
