Google Introduces AI Feature to Enhance Call Quality on Google Fi

Google has unveiled a new feature in its Google Fi service designed to enhance the quality of phone calls by utilizing artificial intelligence. The feature, known as AI-enhanced audio, processes sound in real time to filter out background noise and network interference, resulting in clearer calls for both parties, even when using older devices or lower-quality networks.

This feature is automatically enabled for users with Android 11 and newer devices, as well as for iPhone users, with an option to disable it through the app settings. Google emphasizes that audio processing occurs on its servers to leverage advanced AI capabilities while committing to user data protection and not retaining processed audio content.
