On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. officials, that President Donald Trump is closely monitoring the Iranian government's response to protests before deciding on a potential military action.

According to the reports, Trump has received advice from some of his advisors suggesting that a strike against Iran is unlikely to result in the regime's downfall. Nonetheless, he has requested the preparation of military capabilities in anticipation of a possible decision to attack.

Additionally, the White House confirmed that Trump is the only one aware of his plans regarding Iran, noting that a very small team of advisors is privy to his thoughts on the matter.

In a separate context, the White House announced that the U.S. would continue technical discussions regarding the acquisition of Greenland, a topic that has sparked significant controversy in recent years.
