Ahmed El Sakka Discusses Divorce and Family Dynamics in Recent Interview

For the first time since announcing his divorce from journalist Maha El Saghir about seven months ago, Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka has broken his silence, discussing the details of this new chapter in his life during a televised interview coinciding with the New Year celebrations of 2026.

The divorce concluded a marriage lasting over 26 years, which produced three children, making El Sakka's remarks a significant topic of interest on social media.

In one of the more controversial parts of the interview, El Sakka issued a stern warning to anyone who might pose a threat to his ex-wife outside of a professional context, stating: “Anyone who poses a danger, regardless of who they are, will face preventive action.” He added emphatically: “Anyone who thinks they can lay a hand on this land, here there is no law... we are in the mountains.”

El Sakka explained that his stance is not driven by emotion but by responsibility, asserting that he protects “the land that gave him his three children” and will not allow anyone to harm her. He also revealed that Maha El Saghir sometimes seeks his advice, and he does not hesitate to provide it according to his conscience, emphasizing that he does not permit anyone to speak ill of her.
