Trump Confronts CNN Reporter During Press Conference on Epstein

Amid rising controversy following the release of new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide in prison in 2019, former President Donald Trump made provocative remarks during a press conference at the White House on Tuesday evening. He asserted that his own affairs were not included in the released files and insisted it was time to focus on issues that matter to Americans.
The situation escalated when CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump with a direct question regarding the fate of Epstein's victims and their pursuit of justice, asking:
"What do you say to those who feel they haven’t received justice?"
In response, Trump expressed significant anger, labeling Collins as "the worst journalist" and accusing her of being "a disgrace" to her profession. He further stated:
"Do you know why you’re not smiling? Because you’re not telling the truth... your fake organization should be ashamed of itself."
Collins stood her ground, emphasizing her concern for the well-being of survivors and the importance of addressing justice, which highlighted the ongoing friction between Trump and the media, particularly with CNN, a network he has frequently criticized.
These comments come at a time when the public is reassessing the Epstein case, which has been at the center of scandals due to serious criminal allegations involving the exploitation of minors and human trafficking. Epstein had previously been convicted in a controversial plea deal in 2008 and was arrested again in 2019 before taking his life in August of that year, sparking numerous conspiracy theories due to his connections with political figures and celebrities.
Trump is now directing attention to other files but did not shy away from attacking the media that covers Epstein's dark past, reflecting the ongoing tension between him and the U.S. press.
