Tottenham Faces Controversy as Coach Thomas Frank Seen with Arsenal Mug

In a situation raising eyebrows among football fans, Thomas Frank, the coach of Tottenham Hotspur, was seen holding a mug featuring the logo of their traditional rival, Arsenal, during his team's match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The image quickly circulated on social media, prompting fans to question the presence of an Arsenal mug in the hands of the Spurs manager.
Frank responded during the post-match press conference, labeling the ensuing speculation as "totally ridiculous."
He stated: "I didn’t notice it at all, and it would be absolutely crazy to intentionally carry a mug with the Arsenal logo. This is just a regular mug for espresso that was left in the dressing room after Arsenal's previous match."
On the pitch, Tottenham lost 3-2 after initially taking the lead with a goal from Mathys Tel in the fifth minute.
However, Bournemouth turned the game around with two goals from Ivanilson and Eli Junior Kroupi, before João Palhinha equalized with a stunning overhead kick in the 78th minute.
In the closing moments, Antoine Semenyo scored the winning goal for Bournemouth ahead of his anticipated move to Manchester City.
Following this defeat, Tottenham continues to struggle in the early part of 2026, remaining winless and sitting in 14th place in the Premier League with 27 points, having secured only two victories in their last 12 matches.
The team's next fixture will be at home against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Saturday, followed by a league match against West Ham United the following week.
All eyes will remain on Frank and the Arsenal mug as Tottenham seeks to regain its footing in the season.
