Iran's Judiciary Chief Vows No Leniency for Protesters

Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, the head of Iran's judiciary, stated on Sunday that judicial authorities will adopt a strict approach towards individuals he referred to as "troublemakers," emphasizing that there will be no leniency under any circumstances.

Ejei clarified that prosecutors across various provinces have received explicit orders to enforce the law rigorously against acts of vandalism and those who support such actions, distinguishing between peaceful protesters advocating for their economic rights and individuals attempting to exploit the situation to undermine security.

These remarks come amid ongoing protests in Iran, where authorities suspect that external forces are backing these movements. Human rights organizations report that there have been fatalities and mass arrests in recent days.
