Najwa Ibrahim Faces Health Setback, Loses Ability to Walk After Physiotherapy Session in Cairo

Egyptian journalist and artist Najwa Ibrahim is facing a sudden health setback that has led to her losing the ability to walk, following extensive treatment for serious injuries sustained in a car accident in the United States last summer.
A close source to "Mama Najwa" disclosed that the journalist, who recently returned from the U.S. after undergoing delicate surgeries for multiple fractures and severe injuries, was engaged in intensive physiotherapy sessions in Cairo to regain her balance and mobility.
However, during one of these sessions, she suffered a new and serious knee injury, resulting in a sudden decline in her condition that necessitated the use of a cane for mobility within her home.
The source indicated that Najwa Ibrahim will undergo X-rays and detailed examinations in the coming days to assess the extent of the damage and to establish a new treatment plan aimed at restoring her mobility.
Previously, Najwa Ibrahim had shared details about the accident she experienced in America last summer, when her vehicle collided with another, leading to multiple injuries that delayed her return to Cairo until she had sufficiently improved.
Born in 1946, Najwa Ibrahim is regarded as a cornerstone of Egyptian journalism, leaving a lasting impact on generations through her iconic programs such as "Think for a Few Seconds and Gain Minutes" and "Good Morning, Egypt," as well as her notable roles in films like "The Land" and "The Bullet is Still in My Pocket."
