Saudi Crown Prince Meets German Chancellor to Discuss Regional and International Cooperation

In a move underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing its international relations, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as the Prime Minister, welcomed German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Wednesday afternoon.
During their official meeting, both leaders explored areas for bilateral cooperation and opportunities for development across various sectors, while also reviewing regional and international events and the efforts surrounding them.
The Crown Prince further engaged with a delegation of German business leaders accompanying Chancellor Merz, aiming to bolster economic and investment ties between the two nations.
This meeting coincides with the growing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Germany, with trade volume reaching $7.6 billion in the first nine months of 2024.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia and Germany signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a green hydrogen bridge, targeting an initial export of 200,000 tons of hydrogen.
The meeting reflects Saudi Arabia's vision to strengthen its global partnerships and enhance its role in regional and international dialogues, while Germany emphasizes the importance of cooperation with Saudi Arabia across various economic and political domains.
