Court Orders Asset Seizure of Artist Hassan Shakosh Following Divorce Settlement

A court has mandated the seizure of Hassan Shakosh's assets to enforce a maintenance payment to his ex-wife, Reem Tarek. Attorney Yasser Qantosh confirmed the initiation of this legal process.
Qantosh stated to the press: "Reem Tarek has received the enforcement order from the final ruling that requires Hassan Shakosh to pay a specified amount for maintenance during the waiting period," adding that "the seizure will affect funds in banks as well as movable and immovable property."
The attorney confirmed that these actions are being taken in accordance with a family court ruling that "is final and cannot be appealed, thus obligating Shakosh to make the payment."
The ruling originated in April 2024, when the family court in Sixth of October issued a final judgment in case number 4353 of 2024, requiring Shakosh to pay 950,000 pounds to his ex-wife for maintenance during the waiting period.
The couple's wedding gained attention in March 2024 due to an unusual incident where the bride, Reem Tarek, knelt while wearing her wedding dress. However, the marriage lasted less than two months before disputes erupted, leading to a highly publicized legal battle.
The final ruling and subsequent asset seizure represent the latest developments in this widely covered case.
