While cloves are not a miracle cure, their active compound, eugenol, makes them a noteworthy natural health supplement when used appropriately.

1. Nutrient-Rich

A teaspoon (about 2 grams) of ground cloves contains fiber, vitamin K, and approximately 55% of the daily manganese requirement, essential for bone health and metabolism.

It also contains beta-carotene, potassium, and the active compound eugenol. Chewing a clove daily provides a concentrated source of antioxidants and micronutrients, but it should not replace a balanced diet.
