Ashley St. Clair, the former girlfriend of Elon Musk, has become the target of a coordinated digital harassment campaign on the platform X, where artificial intelligence technology known as Grok was employed to produce explicit fake images of her.

St. Clair, 27, who shares a child with Musk, expressed her distress over the situation, describing it as "horror."

According to St. Clair, this campaign appears to be a retaliatory response to her previous remarks regarding Musk's aspirations for a large family, as he is already a father to 13 children from three different women.

In an interview with The Guardian, she stated that she reported the fake images—including one depicting her as a child—to X, but they have not been removed. "The attacks began over the weekend, and I reported to the company and the Grok tool in vain," she noted.

St. Clair is contemplating legal action in light of evolving laws in the United States and the United Kingdom aimed at prohibiting such digital harassment.

This incident has ignited significant controversy and condemnation from various legislative and regulatory bodies worldwide, particularly following the misuse of Grok to create inappropriate images of women and children.

The platform X has stated that it is implementing stringent measures against illegal content, including child exploitation, and that users who misuse Grok for such purposes will face penalties.
