The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his speech at the World Summit for Social Development in Doha, called for the necessity of reaching a swift political solution to end the war in Sudan, while preserving the unity of the country, its sovereignty, and the integrity of its territories.



Condemnation of the Fashir Atrocities and Holding the International Community Accountable

The Emir of Qatar expressed his shock at the violations and crimes against civilians witnessed in the city of Fashir, affirming Doha's firm rejection of these atrocities. He emphasized the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities and work effectively to stop the conflict and prevent the continuation of crimes against civilians.


Social Development as a Condition for Stability and Peace

Sheikh Tamim confirmed that social development represents an existential need for peoples, pointing out that achieving it requires extensive international cooperation to combat poverty and unemployment. He also considered that lasting peace is the fundamental pillar for achieving justice and sustainable development in any society.



Qatar's Position on Palestine and the Call for Support for Reconstruction

In this context, the Emir of Qatar expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people in light of the Israeli aggression, calling on the international community to double its support and intensify efforts to rebuild Palestine and provide for the needs of civilians there.
