Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool and close associate of Mohamed Salah, conveyed his disappointment regarding Salah's comments made after the recent match against Leeds United. Szoboszlai characterized Salah's actions as not ideal.

In an interview with "Sky Sports" on Wednesday, Szoboszlai stated:

"It was unfortunate to witness what transpired, but I believe Salah has the capability to navigate such challenges."

He continued:

"I chose not to intervene directly, but I was available for support if he needed it, and I consistently checked in to see if he required assistance."

Szoboszlai acknowledged that he trusted Salah to address the issue independently, remarking:

"I recognized that I couldn't assist him because he would take care of it himself. I hope he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations ready to contribute as he did last season. Ultimately, it is a decision for the player and the club, and players typically do not get involved in these matters."

Salah's comments following the Leeds match ignited considerable controversy, as he criticized the club and coach Arne Slot, which resulted in his omission from the Champions League match against Inter Milan last month.

However, he later made a comeback, providing an assist in his last game against Brighton before departing to join the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations.

As captain of the Egyptian national team, Salah is set to compete against Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals of the tournament next Saturday. Liverpool supporters are hopeful for his swift return to the club following a period of tension.
