Israel Reports Progress in Hamas Tunnel Destruction, Multinational Force to Assist in Disarmament

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that a multinational force, led by the United States, is set to undertake the disarmament and demilitarization of Hamas in regions of Gaza still under the group's control.
During an update on military operations, Katz stated, "I have been informed by the Deputy Chief of Staff that efforts to dismantle Hamas tunnels in Gaza are advancing effectively. The Israeli military is employing explosions and filling tunnels with liquid concrete in all areas under its jurisdiction."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed during a government session that Gaza will be disarmed, asserting that Hamas will be stripped of its weapons "either the easy way or the hard way." He emphasized, "I do not require reinforcements, tweets, or lectures from anyone."
Netanyahu also reiterated Israel's longstanding opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state, stating, "Our position against the creation of a Palestinian state on any part of the land remains unchanged."
In this context, the U.S. administration is continuing its efforts to address the situation of Hamas fighters trapped in Rafah's tunnels in southern Gaza, preparing for the next phase of the Gaza agreement. Israel insists that no exits will be permitted without a formal surrender and the handover of weapons.
