In a closely contested Serie A match on Monday, Atalanta secured a 2-1 victory over Cremonese, further enhancing their position in the league standings.


The scoring opened in the 13th minute with a goal from Nikola Krstović, followed by a second goal from teammate Davide Zappacosta in the 25th minute, providing Atalanta with a comfortable lead early in the match.


Despite trailing, Cremonese fought back, with Morten Thorsby finding the net during stoppage time in the second half, narrowing the score just before the final whistle.


This win brings Atalanta's total points to 39, placing them seventh in the standings, while Cremonese remains in fifteenth place with 23 points, facing challenges to avoid relegation.
