Cancellation of the Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis Fight 11 Days Before Due to Domestic Violence Investigation

Most Valuable Promotions announced the cancellation of the fight between American boxers Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis, which was scheduled for November 14 in Miami, just 11 days before the event, following allegations against Davis related to domestic violence.
Davis (30 years old) was preparing to face the former YouTuber and current professional boxer Jake Paul, before circumstances changed and made the fight impossible amid legal developments related to allegations made against him by his ex-girlfriend.
The company is looking for a replacement
The promoting company stated that an investigation was opened immediately, and that they began contacting several names to replace Davis in the upcoming date, including Ryan Garcia, Francis Ngannou, Terence Crawford, and Andre Ward. British promoter Eddie Hearn also suggested boxer Anthony Joshua as a potential option.
The company is currently targeting a new date on December 12 or 19.
In its statement, the company said it has “handled the situation responsibly” and that Jake Paul’s plan to appear in a major event on Netflix in 2025 is still in place.
Paul's Reactions
Jake Paul expressed his anger at the cancellation of the fight and sharply criticized Davis in a social media post, blaming his opponent's behavior – as he described – for the loss of the fight and the preparatory efforts that were made for it.
Context Background
Davis is considered one of the top names in the lightweight division in recent years, while Jake Paul is trying to establish his position in the professional boxing map after transitioning from the world of digital content creation.
As of now, a new opponent or alternative final date has not yet been determined, leaving this event's file open pending an official announcement in the coming days.
