Kurdish Response to Presidential Decree No. 13

The Kurdish delegation expressed gratitude for Presidential Decree No. 13, which they regard as a crucial measure to enhance cultural and social rights while ensuring the protection of Kurdish identity in Syria.

Implementation of Security and Administrative Agreement with the SDF

This meeting occurs in the context of a newly established security and administrative agreement between the Syrian government and the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF), which encompasses a ceasefire and the deployment of government internal security forces in Hasakah and Qamishli, as well as the reinstatement of state institutions in Kurdish regions.

Deployment of Internal Security Forces in Qamishli

On Tuesday, internal security forces began their deployment in Qamishli, following their initial entry into Hasakah and the Sheikh Maqsoud area south of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) on Monday, as part of a broader initiative to reorganize security and administrative structures.

Integration of SDF Units into the Syrian Army

The agreement also outlines plans for the integration of three brigades from the SDF into the Syrian army, along with the establishment of a special brigade for "Kobani Forces," aimed at promoting national unity and resolving security divisions in the northeast region of the country.
