Egypt Sends Humanitarian Aid to Gaza with New Convoy

The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 112th humanitarian aid convoy today, Thursday, as part of the 'Zad Al-Izzah from Egypt to Gaza' initiative, delivering essential supplies to residents of the Gaza Strip amid ongoing efforts to meet the basic needs of the Palestinian region.
This convoy includes food, flour, food baskets, therapeutic medications, medical and humanitarian supplies, personal care items, as well as fuel and natural gas to address the urgent needs of the population in Gaza under challenging conditions.
A previous convoy arrived just a day earlier, bringing over 6,160tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, which included:
• 2,950 tons of food baskets and flour.
• 1,470 tons of medications and medical supplies.
• 70 tons of personal care products.
• 1,670 tons of fuel.
Additionally, the support included winter aid for those affected by poor weather conditions, comprising more than 37,900 winter clothing items, 9,900 blankets, and 3,280 tents for shelter.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Red Crescent initiated the first convoy of this series on July 27, 2025, which transported thousands of tons of food, medications, children's supplies, and fuels.
In related news, U.S. officials announced yesterday, Wednesday, that President Donald Trump plans to announce the establishment of a peace council for Gaza next week, aimed at facilitating the transition to the second phase of the agreement to end the conflict in the Palestinian territories.
