Yemen's 'Shield of the Nation' Launches Security Campaign to Recover Al-Riyan Airport Assets in Mukalla

In a bid to enhance security and stability, the "Shield of the Nation" unit in Yemen has launched a comprehensive security campaign to recover stolen property and weapons that were taken from Al-Riyan Airport in Mukalla during recent unrest.
Military leadership confirmed that the campaign is being conducted under the direction and support of local authorities in Hadramaut province, aimed at preventing looting and disturbances while fully restoring security.
The operation has resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of heavy weapons, military equipment, ammunition, and other state property.
As part of efforts to strengthen security coordination, a meeting was held in Mukalla, chaired by Major General Salem Ahmed Basloom, head of the General Staff of the Second Military Region. The meeting focused on cooperation mechanisms between regional brigades and the "Shield of the Nation" forces stationed along the Hadramaut coast. He emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to ensure security, reinforce stability, and normalize public life.
This morning, Aden welcomed a new contingent of "Shield of the Nation" troops, collaborating with the Giants Brigades responsible for protecting critical infrastructure. Journalists reported that the situation has remained stable for the third consecutive day, with the activation of the anti-terror agency to safeguard the city.
The troops stated that their mission in Aden includes bolstering security and stability, as well as protecting facilities and property to reinforce the state's presence throughout the region. This is part of an organized plan that prioritizes discipline and readiness, in full coordination with relevant authorities and under the guidance of the armed forces' commander-in-chief.
This security campaign is part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and strengthen stability in Hadramaut and Aden, aiming to prevent any disturbances or looting while protecting both public and private property.
