The National Election Authority announced on Saturday the conclusion of Egypt's longest parliamentary elections, which began last October and were unprecedented in nature, including the annulment of results in several districts and the repetition of elections due to allegations of fraud.
A press conference was held to announce the official results of the repeat elections in 27 out of 30 districts, whose outcomes had previously been annulled by rulings from the Administrative Court after elections in 19 other districts were repeated.

Voter Participation and Turnout
Authority Chairman Hazem Badawy reported that the total number of registered voters was 69,891,913, with 22,657,211 casting their votes, resulting in a turnout of 32.41%.
Badawy noted that the number of valid votes exceeded 21 million, compared to over 1.5 million invalid votes, emphasizing that these figures reflect citizens' interest in exercising their constitutional right to elect their parliamentary representatives.
The Longest and Most Observed Elections
The head of the authority characterized the elections as the longest and most intense in the history of Egypt's parliament, receiving considerable public attention.
These elections followed historic court rulings issued on November 29, which annulled elections in 30 districts and mandated their repetition, while the authority also annulled results from 19 additional districts based on intervention from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who called for a comprehensive review and urged the authority to annul disputed results to ensure genuine representation of voter will.
Presidential Intervention for Transparency
In a social media post, al-Sisi stated:
"I urge the esteemed Election Authority to conduct a thorough review of the events and objections and to make decisions that align with the will of God, honestly revealing the true expression of the voters and increasing the transparency of the procedures."
He added that the authority should not hesitate to make the right decision, whether it involves a complete or partial annulment of the election phase, with special elections to be held later to ensure true representation of the people in parliament.
