Syria's Emergency Minister Raed Saleh announced on Wednesday that his ministry is ready to assist families wishing to reach safe areas until tensions in Aleppo diminish. He stressed that the protection of civilians and facilitating their evacuation from hazardous areas is the highest priority.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), however, rejected reports of a calming situation in the city, stating that conditions remain tense and that published claims of tranquility do not reflect the on-ground reality.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Civil Defense reported that over three thousand civilians have been evacuated from Aleppo, primarily from the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, as security operations and fighting continue to threaten residents' lives.
A source from the Syrian Health Ministry informed Al Jazeera of five fatalities and thirty injuries due to SDF gunfire since yesterday, further complicating the humanitarian situation and highlighting the suffering of civilians in the city.
