Peter Mandleson Expresses Regret for Epstein Victims but Does Not Apologize for Connection

Peter Mandleson, the former British Ambassador to the United States, expressed his regret for the women who were abused by the late American entrepreneur and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but he did not apologize for his association with him.

He emphasized that he was unaware of Epstein's actions and was not involved, asserting that he believed the narrative presented by Epstein and his attorney, who attempted to convince him that Epstein was wrongfully convicted.

"Now I wish I had not believed that narrative," he added.

The British government justified his dismissal by stating that the extent of his relationship with Epstein appeared significantly different from what was known at the time of his appointment, leading to considerable controversy in political and media circles.
