The English club Liverpool has completed its second winter transfer this January, following the acquisition of Ivan Ndokoi from Austria Wien. The club has now secured an agreement to sign Mor Ndiaye, a defender for the Senegal U17 national team.
Transfer Details
Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Ndiaye, who can play as both a center-back and left-back, will join Liverpool's youth team after impressing at the U17 World Cup 2025 in Qatar, where Senegal reached the round of 32 before being eliminated by Uganda.
Currently, Ndiaye is with Senegalese club Amity FC, which has previously signed former Premier League players such as Demba Ba, who played for Chelsea and Newcastle. The player is expected to be officially registered with the Reds in the coming days.
Pursuit of Marcus Ghié
In addition to the Ndiaye transfer, Liverpool is also looking to strengthen its defense by pursuing Marcus Ghié from Crystal Palace. However, this transfer faces significant competition from Manchester City during the current winter transfer window.
