Lebanese Artist Fadl Shakir Appears in Beirut Court for Attempted Murder Case

During the hearing, Shakir asserted his lack of involvement in the case, stating that the charges had previously been dropped following a financial settlement with Hilal Hamoud. He further claimed that the case was being used as a tool for financial extortion and to tarnish his reputation due to his political views.

Shakir's attorney, Amata Mbarak, presented the court with an official document confirming the dismissal of the case, which she argued bolstered his legal standing. The session also saw a meeting between Shakir and Ahmad al-Assir, where both denied any financial or military ties between them.

Following the conclusion of the session, the court scheduled the next hearing for February 6, 2026, to directly hear from Hilal Hamoud.
