Syrian authorities reported on Thursday that around 142,000 civilians have evacuated Aleppo in recent hours, following a spike in attacks by the SDF organization on several neighborhoods in the northern part of the city.
This significant displacement is part of a government emergency initiative aimed at facilitating the evacuation of residents from the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, as well as adjacent areas, in light of ongoing clashes and reciprocal shelling.
Authorities in Aleppo are working to establish safe corridors to assist families in relocating to less volatile areas, amid concerns about a potential escalation of violence in the coming days.
