The new Korean series "Typhoon Family" (known as Typhoon Family or Tebon Family) has made a strong debut and shattered records since its premiere on "tvN", achieving the highest rating among the channel's series during the current year 2025, confirming its status as one of the most prominent dramatic productions this season.

The series airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:20 PM (21:20) on the Korean channel "tvN", and is also available to viewers around the world via the "Netflix" platform (Netflix).

The events of the series dive into the heart of a critical period in South Korean history, where the story takes place in the late 1990s, specifically in 1997, when the country faced "one of its worst economic crises ever, the IMF crisis that shook the country's economy and threatened thousands of companies with bankruptcy."

In the midst of this tumultuous context, the story of the series' hero, "Kang Tae-bong", stands out, a young man who "inherits a small family business called 'Typhoon Trading' after the death of his father, who considered the company an extension of the family."

Despite his young age, Kang Tae-bong refuses to succumb to the harsh reality, "and takes on the role of CEO in a determined attempt to save the company from collapse, embodying a rare mix of a kind heart, decisive leadership, and a spirit of challenge."

Alongside him, the character "Oh Mi-sun" appears, playing the role of the dedicated accountant in the company. Mi-sun is "the eldest daughter in her family, bearing significant responsibilities, not only within her home but also at work, where she performs all necessary tasks: from cleaning cups, sticking receipts, organizing accounts, to providing moral support."

Despite her humble beginnings, her perspective on Tae-bong is different; she "sees Mi-sun in Tae-bong as a symbol of hope, believing that he is capable of saving the company, and alongside him, she begins to weave her own dream of becoming a successful businesswoman within the company she loves."

The cast includes prominent stars such as: Kim Jae-hwa (Kim Jae-hwa), Lee Jun-ho (Lee Jun-ho), Minha Kim (Minha Kim), Sung Dong-il (Sung Dong-il), Kim Ji-yeong (Kim Ji-yeong), Kim Min-Seok (Kim Min-Seok), Mu Jin-sung (Mu Jin-sung), and Jin Seon-kyu (Jin Seon-kyu).

This work comes under the direction of director Kim Na-jeong (Lee Na-jeong), presenting a dramatic blend of biography and economic challenge, captivating viewers around the world.
