Popular Egyptian Singer Ismail El-Laythi Dies at 37 Following Accident in Minya
Ismail El-Laythi, a prominent Egyptian singer, passed away today at the age of 37 due to injuries sustained in a serious accident in the Malawy Center of Minya Governorate.
Upon arrival at the hospital, El-Laythi was in critical condition and reportedly in a coma, according to medical sources. Examinations revealed he had sustained a skull fracture and bleeding beneath the meninges, necessitating immediate life support.
Just two hours later, his condition worsened, leading to his transfer to intensive care and the use of a ventilator due to respiratory failure. Medical staff attempted to manage the situation, stating that while they treated the brain hemorrhage with medication, it was not completely resolved.
A medical source indicated that urgent surgical intervention was necessary to address the brain hemorrhage. However, El-Laythi's critical status made surgery risky, as he was on a ventilator, prompting doctors to rely on medication in a last-ditch effort to save him.
Despite other injuries, they were not deemed life-threatening compared to the severe head injury.
El-Laythi had faced personal hardships in the past year, including the tragic loss of his son in an accident and a temporary separation from his wife, although they had recently reconciled.
Plans are underway for his body to be transferred to Cairo in the coming hours for burial and funeral services in his hometown.
