In a strategic move aimed at supporting Syrian students returning from non-Syrian universities, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today, Wednesday, a reduction in admission rates for several university specializations within the transfer and equivalent conversion competition for the academic year 2025–2026.

The decision comes as part of a national policy aimed at promoting the principle of equal opportunities among students and providing a fair educational environment that meets their academic and professional aspirations. It also contributes to enhancing the efficiency of university education and reflects the commitment of the Syrian state to secure the right to education and strengthen national belonging among its citizens both inside and outside the country.

The ministry confirmed that these measures open the door for students to choose specializations that match their abilities and aspirations, serving the interests of society and enhancing Syria's position in the fields of science and knowledge.
