Syria Launches Extensive Security Operation Against ISIS Cells in Several Provinces

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today, Saturday, the start of an extensive security operation in cooperation with the General Intelligence Agency aimed at pursuing ISIS cells in several provinces.

The campaign includes raids on the organization's hideouts and the pursuit of its hidden members suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, aiming to dismantle the organizational structure of the sleeper cells.

The operation will continue for several consecutive days and will be carried out in phases to ensure comprehensive coverage of the targeted sites based on accurate intelligence gathered through monitoring and tracking operations.

The authorities also confirmed that this campaign is part of national efforts to enhance internal security and counter terrorist schemes that threaten the stability of the country, especially in border and rural areas.
