The Syrian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, announced today, Monday, that the ministry is preparing to issue the general admission process for university acceptance by the end of this week, which will be unified and comprehensive for all Syrian universities, both public and private, in an unprecedented step aimed at enhancing fairness and transparency in university admissions.

In a statement to the Syrian 'News' channel, Al-Halabi revealed that the ministry will launch a new electronic application called 'My University' concurrently with the admission process, allowing students to submit and confirm their applications electronically without the need for paper registration or personal attendance, which is considered a qualitative leap in university admission mechanisms.

The minister confirmed that this admission process is the first after the liberation phase and carries significant national symbolism, as the doors of Syrian universities are opened to all students, both inside and outside the country, calling on the children of Syria who were forced to continue their studies abroad to return to their universities and homeland to contribute to building a prosperous scientific future.

Al-Halabi described this step as a historical milestone that reflects the will of the new Syria to establish the position of higher education as a fundamental pillar in the country's renaissance, pointing out that the ministry is working on developing the digital infrastructure for higher education to meet global standards.
