The Stars Shine at Murex d'Or 2025 .. and Tim Hassan Takes Center Stage with a Fiery Statement

The Lebanese capital, Beirut, celebrated last night, Sunday, the 25th edition of the Murex d'Or2025 award ceremony, in an exceptional evening marking the silver jubilee of the most prestigious award in the Arab world, which witnessed the presence of a large elite of acting, singing, and media stars from various parts of the Arab world, amidst stunning artistic performances and touching tributes.

* Tim Hassan and Wafa Kilan .. Striking Presence and Surprising Statement

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the appearance of the Syrian star Tim Hassan accompanied by his wife, media personality Wafa Kilan, after a long absence from artistic events, as they stole the spotlight on the red carpet.
Tim was honored with the Best Arab Actor award for his role in the series "Under the Seventh Ground", and he went up on stage to deliver an impromptu speech that elicited laughter and applause from the audience.

Tim said:
"The Lebanese are in my heart .. except for one category, which is the bankers."
He then added with a laugh: "Where are our money, my dear brothers?".
He also sent a message of love to his country, Syria, describing it as "a history of art, civilization, and culture", wishing for its return to its status.

It is noteworthy that Lebanon has been experiencing a severe economic crisis since 2019, where the lira has lost more than 90% of its value, while banks continue to withhold citizens' deposits, including artists and businessmen.

* Honoring Great Stars .. Nabila Obeid and Shukran Murtaja

The ceremony was not ordinary, as the esteemed artist Nabila Obeid was honored with the Best Arab Actress award for her entire career, amidst great audience interaction, in appreciation of what she has contributed to Arab cinema.

As for the Syrian artist Shukran Murtaja, her moment was the most touching at the ceremony, as she cried on stage upon announcing her win of an award for her body of work, dedicating the award to the spirit of her mother, all Syrians, and the team of the series "Game of Love".

* Singing Stars Shine .. Nawal Al Zoghbi and Amal Maher

In the musical segment, the star Nawal Al Zoghbi enchanted the audience with a collection of songs, and was crowned with three awards:
• Best Lebanese Singing Star
• Outstanding Album Award
• Lebanese Singing Star

Nawal expressed her happiness and said:
"I was the first Lebanese artist to receive the Murex d'Or in 2000 .. and today, in the 25th edition, I return with the same enthusiasm".

As for the Egyptian artist Amal Maher, she won the Arab Singing Star award and performed several songs amidst great audience interaction.

The singer Pascal Saker was also honored with an award for her entire career, and director Pierre Khadra received the Excellence Award for directing the music video "Come Sit With Us", while Egyptian artist Tamer Ashour won the Arab Singing Star award.

* Lebanese Drama Awards .. "With Blood" Wins Titles

The series "With Blood" had a significant share of the awards, as it won:
_ Rafiq Ali Ahmed Best Lebanese Actor Award
_ Samara Nahra Best Lebanese Actress Award
_ Lilian Namri Honorary Award for her entire career
_ Julia Kassar Best Lebanese Actress in a Leading Role Award

* Duos Dominate the Ceremony

The ceremony witnessed a strong presence of artistic duos:
• Maggie Bou Ghosn shone with her husband, producer Jamal Sinan
• Sara Abi Kanaan was accompanied by her husband, artist Wissam Fares
• Nicole Saba appeared with her husband, Youssef Al Khal, who expressed his pride in her after she won the Best Actress award for the series "And You Meet Your Lover" which aired last Ramadan.

* A Spectacular Show and Surprises on Stage

The evening kicked off with a grand musical performance celebrating the silver jubilee, and the ceremony was presented by media personality Wissam Hanna, who surprised everyone by inviting media personality Hilda Khalifa to join him in presenting the awards, in a thrilling moment on stage.
Hilda was honored with the Best Lebanese Media Personality award.

* Exceptional Moments .. Bisan Ismail and Fouad Jind with Tim Hassan

Among the notable moments during the ceremony was the moment when young stars gathered around Tim Hassan, as influencer Bisan Ismail made sure to take a picture with him, as did artist Fouad Jind.

* "Murex d'Or" .. 25 Years of Art and Brilliance

With this ceremony, a special edition of the Murex d'Or festival concluded, which maintained its status as a platform to celebrate the stars of Arab art, in an occasion that combined honoring, art, and humanitarian and political messages wrapped in art.
