In a commendable move that has garnered praise from both the artistic community and the public, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi has announced a decision to provide state-funded healthcare for senior artists and members of the Actors' Syndicate. This initiative acknowledges their substantial contributions to the cultural landscape of Egypt and the Arab world.

The initiative encompasses a number of prominent figures who have made significant impacts in Egyptian art, including actress Abla Kamel, actress Nagwa Fouad, actor Ahmed Fouad Selim, actor Diaa El-Mirghani, actor Abdallah Moshref, and actress Jamila Aziz.

Ashraf Zaki, head of the Actors' Syndicate, expressed profound gratitude towards President Sisi in an official statement, saying, "The Actors' Syndicate extends its heartfelt thanks to the president for his directives aimed at supporting senior artists with rich artistic histories. This initiative showcases the state's commitment to their welfare and acknowledges their invaluable contributions to the Egyptian and Arab cultures over the years."

Zaki further noted that this humanitarian initiative reflects the president's deep respect for the role of art and artists in shaping national identity and preserving Egypt's cultural heritage, reiterating the state's dedication to honoring its creative individuals who have brought joy to the populace.

Regarding the health status of actress Abla Kamel, Zaki shared in a phone interview that she is currently in good health and is at home with her family.

* Overview of Abla Kamel's Career:

Abla Kamel began her acting career with roles in the series "The Martyrs and Tears" (part two) and "The Nights of Halima," eventually gaining widespread recognition through the series "I Will Not Live in My Father's Cloak." She has starred in several notable works, including "Raya and Sakina," "Morning and Evening Talk," "The Spirits of the Canal," "The Weddings of Iblis," and "The Ladies of Garden City," as well as films like "El-Lemby," "The Ladies," "Aunt France," and "Hysteria." Her last appearance was in the fifth season of "Salsal Al-Dam" in 2018, after which she announced her retirement and declined to participate in the sixth season.

This initiative serves as a humanitarian recognition of the artists who have significantly influenced the Egyptian public's psyche, reinforcing the Egyptian government's commitment to valuing its creative talents.
