Samsung Introduces Privacy Display Feature in Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung is set to release the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which includes a groundbreaking feature aimed at improving user privacy. This feature, supported by AI technology, enhances the visibility of content on the screen.
According to information from the One UI 8.5 interface, the new functionality is termed “Privacy Display.” This feature reduces screen visibility from side angles, ensuring that onlookers cannot easily view the content displayed. When activated, the screen appears darker, as reported by SamMobile, a technology news outlet.
The Privacy Display can be activated through the settings menu or via a dedicated button in the quick settings panel, allowing users to customize activation conditions. It can also be programmed to activate automatically based on user-defined routines, such as when the device is used outside of home or office environments.
This feature is expected to utilize a next-generation OLED panel and may incorporate the Flex Magic Pixel technology, which Samsung first demonstrated at the Mobile World Congress in early 2024.
It remains uncertain whether the Privacy Display will be available across all models in the Galaxy S26 series or exclusively on the Ultra version.
Currently, no other smartphone on the market offers a similar feature, positioning the Galaxy S26 Ultra as a leader in smartphone privacy solutions.
