Samsung Launches "Samsung Internet" Browser on Windows to Connect Phone to Computer

Samsung has announced the launch of a beta version of its browser "Samsung Internet" for the "Windows 10" and "Windows 11" operating systems, as part of its efforts to bridge the gap between phones and computers, providing a deeper synchronization experience for users, especially those who rely on Samsung's integrated devices and services.
The new launch aims to enable users to benefit from the "continuity" feature between phone and computer, which includes syncing bookmarks and browsing history, in addition to the password manager "Samsung Pass". Through this step, Samsung hopes to enhance connectivity within its competitive ecosystem and compete with leading browsers like "Microsoft Edge" and "Google Chrome" that also allow cross-platform synchronization.
Not only has the browser been moved to the computer platform, but Samsung has also added new features powered by artificial intelligence under the name "Galaxy AI", including the "Browsing Assist" tool that allows users to summarize or translate web pages directly within the browser.
In terms of privacy, Samsung has equipped the beta version with a special control panel that gives users an instant view of tracking activities and targeted advertisements while browsing. This focus on security and privacy makes the browser attractive to those concerned about protecting their data compared to traditional solutions.
The beta version has already begun distribution to users in the United States, Korea, and some other countries, with expectations that Samsung will expand the distribution to include more countries and operating systems in the future.
To run the browser, the device must be operating on "Windows 10" or "Windows 11", reflecting Samsung's aim to target a wide range of users, whether they are using its devices or others who wish to try an alternative browser focused on integration and smooth account management.
With this step, Samsung makes significant progress towards providing a unified browsing experience between phone and computer, enhanced with artificial intelligence and privacy features, opening the door for Samsung phone users and Windows operating computers to experience a comprehensive browser that meets their needs more smoothly.
