Financial documents addressed to shareholders, according to what was published by "The Information", revealed strong financial performance for "OpenAI" during the first half of 2025, with revenues jumping to approximately $4.3 billion.

The data highlighted that these revenues, achieved by the company in just six months, represent a 16% increase compared to its total revenues for the entire year of 2024.

On the spending side, the report indicated that the company spent about $2.5 billion during the same period, clarifying that "most of it was on research and development costs and operating the (ChatGPT) platform". The figures also revealed that the total amount spent by the company on research and development reached $6.7 billion.

The company's future plans reveal significant ambitions, as "OpenAI" aims to achieve annual revenues of up to $13 billion, against a cash spending rate of $8.5 billion.

In connection with growth plans, "Reuters" reported last August that "the company is in preliminary talks to sell shares that would allow employees to liquidate part of their stakes, which could value the company at around $500 billion".

The financial data also showed strength in the company's financial position, which has nearly $17.5 billion in cash and securities at the end of the first half of 2025.

"OpenAI" also received significant technical and financial support last week, with "NVIDIA" announcing that it "will invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI and will provide it with data center chips".
