The Egyptian artist Nagwa Fouad has faced a new health crisis in the past few days that required her to be transferred to a private hospital in Cairo, where she is currently undergoing delicate surgery involving her spine and foot.

Nagwa Fouad revealed in exclusive statements the details of her condition, indicating that she fell inside her home, resulting in a severe injury to her left foot. Medical examinations showed significant cartilage damage that necessitated urgent surgical intervention.

The Egyptian star added that her right foot, which she had previously undergone joint replacement surgery on 15 years ago, has also started to experience pain, prompting the medical team to determine the need for a second surgery to stabilize the joint.

The biggest crisis, according to the artist, lies in her spine, as examinations revealed deterioration in some lumbar vertebrae and cartilage, which led doctors to decide to perform delicate surgery to insert three screws into the spine to alleviate pain and restore normal movement.

Nagwa Fouad expressed her hope of overcoming this crisis safely, so she can return to her normal life after a period of suffering due to persistent severe pain.

* Additional Details About Previous Injuries

Earlier, Nagwa Fouad suffered a fall in front of her home that caused a compound fracture in her left shoulder and arm, and the treating doctor had to place her arm in a plaster cast and prevent her from moving it until the bone healed.

She also suffered from a herniated disc in her back vertebrae, and CT scans showed that the fracture continued to affect her shoulder bones, requiring additional time for healing.

* A Plea and Government Solution

Last August, Nagwa Fouad made a plea to the Egyptian Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Hano due to her health crisis and her inability to provide the necessary treatment, prompting the minister to issue directives to resolve her issue immediately. A joint delegation from the Ministry of Culture and the Actors' Syndicate visited her at home to listen to her demands and meet her needs.

The delegation confirmed that Nagwa Fouad is one of the most prominent icons in the history of Egyptian cinema and Oriental dance, and that her long career deserves all appreciation and care, emphasizing the provision of the necessary support for her during this difficult phase.
