Court Orders Seizure of Artist Hassan Shakosh's Assets Following Alimony Ruling

Lawyer Yasser Qantosh has announced the initiation of asset seizure procedures against artist Hassan Shakosh, following a final court ruling in favor of his ex-wife, Reem Tarek. This action is intended to enforce an alimony payment mandated by the court.
Qantosh stated in a press briefing that "Reem Tarek has received the official documentation of the final ruling, which requires Hassan Shakosh to pay a specified amount as alimony for enjoyment and waiting period." He added that the seizure will impact funds in bank accounts as well as movable and immovable properties.
The lawyer confirmed that these actions are in accordance with a family court ruling that is now final and cannot be contested, thereby obligating Shakosh to comply with the payment.
The ruling originated in April 2024, when a family court in Sixth of October mandated that Shakosh pay 950,000 Egyptian pounds to Tarek as alimony for enjoyment and waiting period.
The couple's marriage, which drew media attention in March 2024 due to an unusual wedding ceremony, lasted less than two months before disputes arose, culminating in a legal battle.
The final ruling and subsequent asset seizure procedures mark the latest developments in a case that has garnered significant media attention.
