German Court Proceeds with Case Against 'White Tiger' for Cyber Crimes Involving Children

The prosecution asserts that the 21-year-old German-Iranian defendant operated an online network that coerced children aged between 11 and 15 to engage in self-harm for sexual purposes.
The victim list comprises over 30 children from Germany, England, Canada, and the United States, alongside a young Finnish woman who is participating as a civil claimant.
According to the indictment, the alleged crimes took place between January 2021 and September 2023. Due to the defendant's status as a minor at the time of the offenses, the trial is being conducted behind closed doors in a juvenile court setting.
The defendant was apprehended in mid-June of the previous year at his parents' residence in Hamburg and has remained in pre-trial detention since that time.
The presiding judge has announced a schedule of 82 trial sessions, which will extend into December of this year, marking this case as one of the most extensive trials related to cyber crimes against children in Germany.
