President Donald Trump has announced the introduction of the "Golden Card" visa, a new immigration option that enables foreign nationals to secure U.S. residency quickly for a payment of one million dollars. Companies can opt to pay two million dollars to sponsor a foreign employee.

At a recent event held at the White House, Trump characterized the initiative as "very exciting for me and for the country," while the official application portal, trumpcard.gov, has been launched for prospective applicants.

* How Does the Golden Card Function?

_ Initial Processing Fee: 15,000 dollars payable to the Department of Homeland Security.

_ Financial Contribution for Residency: One million dollars for individuals; two million dollars for companies sponsoring employees.

_ Processing Time: A matter of weeks, which includes a personal interview and security screening.

_ Visa Type: EB_1 or EB_2, intended for individuals with extraordinary or exceptional abilities.

* Who Will Benefit?

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated that the program targets "economically capable individuals to bolster the U.S. economy," presenting a more robust alternative to the traditional green card.

* Future Developments: "Platinum Card"

The website has also hinted at the forthcoming "Trump Platinum Card," which will be available for five million dollars, allowing applicants to remain in the U.S. for up to 270 days without their foreign income being subject to U.S. taxation.

* Economic Context

This initiative is positioned as an alternative to the EB_5 investor visa, aimed at attracting substantial investments to support the U.S. economy and mitigate the national debt. The announcement has ignited discussions about prioritizing high-capacity immigrants over the conventional green card system.

The "Trump Golden Visa" suggests that the path to achieving the American dream can now be expedited for a financial investment of one million dollars.
