Fairuz Mourns the Loss of Her Son Hali Rahbani

The Lebanese singer Fairuz appeared visibly sorrowful today, Saturday, as she received condolences for the passing of her son Hali Rahbani, who died at the age of 68.

Fairuz held a bouquet of white flowers inscribed with the message:
"To my beloved son"
in a poignant moment that underscored her profound connection with Hali Rahbani, who had lived much of his life away from public attention due to paralysis and mental disability.
Condolence Ceremony
Fairuz, dressed in black, sat in the condolence reception hall at the Church of Our Lady of Dormition in Bkfiya, Lebanon, alongside her daughter Rima, the last of her living children. Her grief was evident throughout the ceremony.

Burial Arrangements
Local media have reported that Hali Rahbani will be interred next to his late brother Ziad Rahbani, in a private grave located within the garden of Fairuz's home in Choueifat, in accordance with her wishes.

Family Tragedy
Hali Rahbani is the third child Fairuz has lost, following the deaths of her son Ziad Rahbani and her daughter Layal, who passed away in 1988 at the age of 29. Rima, born in 1965, remains the only surviving child.
