Evacuation to Defuse the Crisis or Uprooting from the Ground? .. Bedouins of Al-Suwayda Sacrificed as Unannounced Agreement!

Following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Al-Suwayda, the southern province woke up to an actual calm accompanied by a harsh scene. Amidst the silence of guns and the rising smoke of fires on the outskirts of the roads, while everyone tries to catch their breath to gather what the battles have left behind, the southern province wakes up to a harsh scene embodied by what the media called an 'evacuation' of Bedouin families outside the province.

Massive government buses disrupt the tranquility of the place and leave unanswered questions. This is precisely where the fear and danger lie. Those buses entered the devastated city this Monday morning to begin 'securing the exit' of Bedouin families, with Agence France-Presse documenting the evacuation of dozens of Bedouin families, including women and children, heading towards shelters in Daraa and Damascus in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

The official Syrian media had announced that the government buses' mission is to evacuate 1500 people from Bedouin tribes. The head of internal security in Al-Suwayda province, Colonel Ahmed al-Dalati, stated in a televised interview on Monday: 'We have reached a formula in which we can defuse the crisis by evacuating our families from the Bedouins and tribes currently present in the city of Al-Suwayda,' confirming that 'the humanitarian situation is very difficult, and the entire government is mobilized, awaiting the entry of services.'

A source in Daraa province confirmed the arrival of the first batch, consisting of more than 350 individuals from Bedouin tribes, including women, children, and several wounded, who were transported to the town of Basr al-Harir in the eastern countryside of Daraa. It is expected that more batches will arrive until everyone, numbering 1500 people or perhaps more, is evacuated.'

The German news agency (dpa) reported that 'the families that were evacuated came from inside the city of Al-Suwayda and its eastern countryside, and efforts are being made to evacuate all those who wish to leave from the Bedouin tribes in Al-Suwayda province.'

The government sees this action as the only way to stop the tension and calm the spirits after the bloody infighting witnessed in the province. Here, the pressing question arises:
Is it a temporary step until the government finds a solution to return Al-Suwayda to the Syrian embrace after the military solution failed due to Israel's intervention in favor of the Druze community? Or is it up to the Bedouins of Al-Suwayda not to think about returning to their homes and villages again, thus becoming sacrificial lambs for which the authorities have found no alternative?!
