12-Year-Old German Girl Begins University Studies, Setting Academic Milestone

A remarkable story is emerging from Germany, where a 12-year-old girl, Lina Haider, has commenced her studies in economics at the University of Bonn. She graduated from high school last summer at the age of eleven, potentially making her the youngest high school graduate in Germany's history after completing her education in just six years.
Lina expressed her excitement about starting university, stating that she finds her current studies more enjoyable than her previous school experience. "Studying at university is fun and better than school," she remarked.
She noted that her school years often left her feeling bored, while university offers her greater autonomy in managing her time and engaging with more complex material.
Lina's transition to university was facilitated by her participation in a special program for gifted students, which allowed her to attend university courses while still in school.
Recognized for her exceptional intellect, Lina has an extremely high IQ and advanced through her schooling by skipping several grades, moving from first grade directly to fifth, then eighth, tenth, eleventh, and finally twelfth.
