Specialized reports indicate that the American company Apple has filed a lawsuit against the Chinese company Oppo, accusing it of spying on its secret technologies and exploiting internal information related to its future products.

According to MacRumors, the lawsuit comes after a presentation made by former Apple engineer Chen Xi to Oppo employees after joining the Chinese company, where the presentation was titled "Apple Sensors." Apple claims that the engineer revealed sensitive and proprietary data during the presentation.

Chen Xi had previously worked on the smartwatch development team at Apple and had faced a personal lawsuit from the company last August after being accused of downloading 63 files from a protected folder on his work computer, which he is believed to have later transferred to Oppo.

In the new lawsuit, Apple asserts that Oppo encouraged its new employee to share the company's secrets and sensitive technical information.

For its part, Oppo denied these accusations, explaining that engineer Chen Xi "was explaining general engineering principles that did not include any confidential information pertaining to Apple," adding that he "is fully cooperating with judicial authorities to prove his innocence."

This legal escalation comes amid increasing tensions between American and Chinese technology companies, with mutual accusations of hacking and intellectual property theft.

It is worth noting that a federal court in Delaware had ordered Apple in July to pay $110 million to the Spanish company TOT for patent infringement, and it was also fined another 3.5 million rubles in Russia for failing to comply with local laws regarding data removal.
