Saudi Arabia Issues Warning to UAE Over Military Movements at Border

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed serious concerns over the actions taken by the United Arab Emirates, which have pressured the Southern Transitional Council forces to conduct military operations along the Kingdom's southern border in the Hadramaut and Mahra provinces. These actions are viewed as a direct threat to Saudi national security and the stability of Yemen and the broader region.
Riyadh stated that the UAE's actions are significant and do not align with the foundational principles of the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, nor do they contribute to efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the country.
In this context, the Kingdom has emphasized the importance of the UAE responding to Yemen's request to withdraw its forces within 24 hours and to cease any military or financial support to any factions within Yemen. Saudi Arabia has declared that any attack on its national security constitutes a red line and that it will take all necessary measures to address and neutralize such threats.
This statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs follows remarks from the Yemeni Presidential Council and a statement from the Arab coalition leadership regarding the movement of ships carrying weapons and heavy vehicles from the port of Fujairah to Mukalla without official permits. The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to Yemen's security and sovereignty and its full support for the council's president and government.
Saudi Arabia highlighted that the situation in the south is a legitimate issue with historical and social dimensions, asserting that the only viable solution is through dialogue within the framework of a comprehensive political resolution that includes all Yemeni parties, including the Southern Transitional Council.
The ministry concluded its statement by stressing the importance of prioritizing wisdom and the principles of brotherhood, good neighborliness, and close relations among Gulf Cooperation Council countries, urging the UAE to take necessary actions to preserve bilateral relations and strengthen collaborative efforts towards regional stability and prosperity.
