Hezbollah's Naím Qasim Advocates for a Sovereign Lebanon Amid Israeli Aggression

Commemoration of Resistance Leaders
Qasim made these remarks during the anniversary of the deaths of leaders Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, whom he referred to as exemplars of the humanitarian Islamic project. He asserted that their objectives were to bolster resistance movements and counter U.S. plans in the region. He emphasized Iran's crucial role in supporting resistance efforts and advocating for justice and humanitarian causes, without seeking direct political or economic gains.
Addressing Israeli Aggression and Promoting Unity
Qasim characterized Israel as an entity established in the region to achieve cultural and economic dominance, asserting that resisting occupation is integral to Hezbollah's faith and interests. He expressed pride in Hezbollah's relationship with Iran, noting that Iran has provided support without expecting anything in return, and he criticized those who justify Israeli aggression or submit to U.S. influence.
Internal and Economic Policies
Beyond security concerns, Qasim called for timely parliamentary elections and for equipping the Lebanese army to safeguard the nation. He also stressed the importance of fully reimbursing depositors and ensuring justice for public sector employees to maintain effective institutional operations.
