The English club Liverpool has confirmed the completion of its second winter signing this January, following the acquisition of Ivan Ndokoi from Austria Vienna. The club has now reached an agreement to bring in Mor Ndiaye, a defender for Senegal's U-17 national team.
Details of the Transfer
Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Ndiaye, who can play as both a center-back and left-back, will join Liverpool's youth team after impressing during the 2025 U-17 World Cup in Qatar, where Senegal reached the Round of 16 before being eliminated by Uganda.
Ndiaye currently plays for Amity FC in Senegal, a club known for producing players who have gone on to compete in the Premier League, including Demba Ba, a former player for Chelsea and Newcastle. The player is expected to be officially registered with the Reds in the coming days.
Efforts to Sign Marc Guéhi
In addition to the signing of Ndiaye, Liverpool is actively pursuing Marc Guéhi from Crystal Palace to strengthen its defense. However, the club faces stiff competition from Manchester City for the player's signature during the current winter transfer window.
